Job Overview:

As aServer,you’llbe responsible forthe forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar to catering andspecial events.​TheServerwillbe responsiblefortakingorders and deliveringfood and drinks, answeringquestionsregardingmenu and drink selections, work closely with wait, bar staff and kitchen to ensure the restaurant isoperatedefficiently.

Your Responsibilities:

Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments,napkinsandutensils.

Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation,safetyand alcohol beverage controlpolicies.

Must be able to explain the chefs specialties; identifyappropriate wines; answer food preparationquestions.

Stay updated on current menu choices,specialties,and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.

Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Residentchoices,identifyingResident special dietary needs and specialrequests.

Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from servicebars.

Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring ofneeds,observing diningprocess.

Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other specialneeds.

Properly open and pour wine at the tableside

Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuingbills; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip toResident.

Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

GED or High School Diploma

At least 1 year kitchen experience

Excellent verbal communication skillsrequired.

Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures

Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.

Work in an upright standing or sitting position forlong periodsoftime.

Reach with hands andarms.

Communicate, receive,and exchange ideas and informationby means ofthe spoken and writtenword.

Compensation: $25.00 Hourly
