Solder Technician: WEEKEND SHIFT

Seeking technicians with 1-3 years of experience as an electronic assembler.

Job Title: Soldering Technician

Location: Tampa, FL

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $18-20 per hour with weekend shift differential $23-25/hr

Shift:

Friday-Sunday

6AM-6PM

Responsibilities:

– Perform hand soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons and other tools.

– Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to ensure accurate component placement and soldering.

– Inspect finished assemblies to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.

– Troubleshoot and repair soldering defects as necessary.

– Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and best practices.

– Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Description:

To assist in the production of on-time, quality deliveries to our customers.

• Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed

• Follows ISO process sheet for the operation.

• Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines

• Participate in performance feedback

• Using tweezers, solder extractor, solder iron, hot air pencil and hot air reflow

• Must be able to be a precise solderer and be very detailed and meticulous

• Will be knowledgeable of rework aids: solder braid, flux, flux-core solder, solder paste isopropyl alcohol

• Will keep records in Aegis system, i.e. parts tracking, defect locations and specific issues with the boards

• Enters scrap information into Aegis

• Performs visual inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various states of production.

• May be required to lift bins of assemblies

• Follows ISO process sheet for the operation.

• Supports and adheres to our safety, quality and 5S policies and procedures

• Communication to respective supervisor

• Be able to pull up product documentation in Aegis

• Be able to interpret Kimball/customer specifications and requirements per Aegis

• Communication of findings/quality issues to production staff/supervisor

• Perform NPI 1st Article Inspection activities

• Work to meet production and quality department goals

• Additional duties as assigned
