Hagerty is currently seekingrecovery staffto support local government recovery work in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The Project Coordinator will lead teams and leverage their extensive experience in managing complex projects to support clients in developing and implementing a strategy to recover from Hurricane Helene. A successful candidate for this role will have prior experience working in complex environments with evolving client needs. The Project Coordinator will support our clients on-site .
Candidates for the Project Coordinator will be considered for contract-based positions.
Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator Include:
Support local governments and private non-profits with their comprehensive recovery from natural disasters.
Implement established processes and tools to collect, analyze, and communicate information critical to the client-s recovery.
Enable communication-and facilitate productive meetings-between project stakeholders, internal teams, and external resources.
Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to the project work plan.
Understand and apply project management concepts to support prioritization and implementation of recovery activities and strategic initiatives.
Lead cross-functional recovery project teams, ensuring adherence deadlines, and communicate progress and status to client and stakeholders.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase overall team and project productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications for the Project Coordinator Include:
A minimum of five (5) years of professional, full-time work experience associated with project coordination and/or management, to include developing a project plan with delivery schedule and budget and presenting deliverables to a client.
A bachelor-s degree.
A minimum of three (3) years of management consulting experience.
Experience effectively working with or managing a team.
Demonstrated ability to follow direction in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and deliverables to align with an evolving operation.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to produce technically and programmatically sound deliverables with little oversight.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications for the Project Coordinator Include:
A master-s degree pertinent to emergency management, accounting, finance, engineering, public administration, business administration, or similar field.
Consulting experience at the federal, state, and/or local level of government; with universities; and/or in the private sector.
Experience working for FEMA, grantees, or subgrantees to implement FEMA-s PA and/or IA Program.
Compensation for the Project Coordinator Includes:
Salary range of $70,000 – $110,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
