Duties & Responsibilities
The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Strategic sales leadership and development for new business development and increasing market share for Investor Solutions. and CMD balance sheet services
Implements the strategic sales management process.
Consults with depository institutions and state 529 programs about how UMB’s FDIC Sweep Program can enhance their cash management product offering to generate participation in taking deposits from our programs.
Collaborates with members of IS and CMD to coordinate business development
Prepares and presents proposals to prospective clients upon request.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
Attends industry conferences
Responsible for working with the IB Marketing Team to drive the creation and maintenance of all marketing collateral and reporting.
Monitor competitor products and marketing activities.
Expected to achieve market/team/individual metrics, customer retention goals and new sales production targets.
Ensure all prospect activities are logged in Salesforce for both new prospects and existing clients
May carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
MINIMUM:
Demonstrates ability to work proactively & collaboratively in a team environment
Must have proven ability to identify and influence key decision-makers at C level and above within an organization
Must have knowledge and sound understanding of a professional service (consultative) delivery process
Possesses & demonstrates strong verbal communication skills
Possess general marketing skills such as proposal writing, phone etiquette
Demonstrates proficiency of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook) and Salesforce
Demonstrated Executive presence
PREFERRED:
Prospecting, sales & business development
Strategic planning, leadership & executive of sales plan
Requirements
MINIMUM :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ten (10) years successful sales experience
Financial Services experience
PREFERRED :
Advanced degree
Large Client sales experience
Experience with FDIC Sweep Programs, Payment Solutions, community bank balance sheet and A/L.
Supervisory/leadership experience
Work Environment:
Must be able to travel to visit clients as required.

Compensation Range:
Minimum: $99,750.00 – Maximum: $257,250.00
