We are looking for a Plant Controller to help lead our Morristown, TN plant. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, overseeing financial operations of one of our premier manufacturing sites in North America. You will lead a team of Financial Analysts, ensuring compliance with Colgate financial policies and internal controls, safeguarding assets, and analyzing plant performance. You will partner with business leaders to provide insights, governance, direction, and cost management strategies, and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies through automation, standardization, and technology adoption.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in financial leadership roles, with a clear understanding of financial systems, data, and business analysis, as well as corporate governance and audit best practices. Lastly, they should be a collaborative leader who is able to drive cross-functional partnerships and provide strategic financial insights to inform business decisions.

What you will do:

Lead all plant financial activities, ensuring adherence to company financial policies and internal controls, and safeguarding plant assets

Coordinate, analyze, and communicate the plant’s annual budget, including setting targets, assumptions, and reporting dates for operational areas

Prepare monthly rolling P&L estimates and conduct analysis of actual results against budget/estimates, highlighting significant variances to leadership

Manage validation of savings projects in the FTG Database, ensuring proper audit documentation and adherence to investment evaluation principles

Collaborate with manufacturing partners to develop business plans considering risk and cost/benefit relationships, and monitor KPIs monthly

Drive compliance with Colgate Financial Policies at the plant, ensuring timely resolution of control gaps, and guide the Technical/Engineering team on correct financial practices

Foster continuous improvement by engaging with Plant Controller peers for technical knowledge transfer and alignment

Act as a liaison with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure cohesive financial and operational strategies

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study

7 years’ experience in the Finance / Accounting environment

3 years’ experience in managing people

Hands on experience with SAP, the Google suite, and MS Office

Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or equivalent designation

Prior experience in Supply Chain, CS&L, Procurement and/or Manufacturing environments

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $146,000.00 – $165,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
