Rehabilitation Technician

Job Description

MSS is looking for a Part-Time Rehabilitation Technician for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Yazoo City, MS. This position provides a flexible schedule with daytime hours.

Rehab Tech will perform supportive services to the Rehabilitation Department under the direction of the Rehab Director.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of one year health care experience preferred. Preferably be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, drive, stand, sit and reach constantly during an eight (8) hour day/shift. Ability to speak and hear to understand and give directions. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess and monitor patient/resident needs, maintain accurate records, understand directions and recognize people. Fine and gross motor skills. Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and in the community. Work endurance ability to work eight (8) hour days/shifts. Ability to participate in sustained activity for up to three and one-half (3.5) hours at a time. Reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts and correspondence. Possesses highly developed communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

Working Conditions: Typical therapy clinic environment. Strong organizational skills in order to effectively maintain multiple projects simultaneously. Requires creativity as well as the ability to work independently. Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.
