Summary You will serve as a CONFIGURATION CHANGE SPECIALIST within FLEET SUPPORT SERVICES of SUPSHIP GULF COAST. Responsibilities You will be responsible for all aspects of reviewing, evaluating all relevant financial, technical, overall planning, scheduling execution and logistics support services provided by a commercial facility. You will analyze current and proposed operating programs to evaluate their actual or potential effectiveness in achieving goals and objectives, and makes sound recommendations for improvements to government processes to reduce risks and costs. You will perform duties in a government and business/industry environment involving evaluation of the contractors performance in planning, scheduling, task execution and the attendant management controls. You will provide advice for determining new methods to accomplish goals by direct communications and teaming with the many diverse disciplines and customers. You will monitor, evaluate, track, and report contractor performance to optimize output and cost savings. You will participate in Program Managers (PMs) CCB to review potential change candidates considering cost and schedule impacts, ensuring only essential changes move forward to the contractor for scoping and pricing. You will research, analyze and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and metrics to determine the effectiveness of the contractors support in meeting program goals. You will identify project and program uncertainties and participates in conducting risk analyses utilizing contractor data and government data. You will ensure project schedule and cost performance is evaluated/reported regularly and consistently to identify variances from planned performance and contract deliverables. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting risk analyses of contractor performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
