The Role

Over The Road (OTR) driver will be responsible for the operation of Tractor Trailer to pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed across Southeast Michigan. Driver is responsible for executing job assignments in the most efficient, safest, and most professional way possible. This position may be required to start their shift at Milford/Grand Blanc or Warren dependent on job assignment.

Minimum Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.

Have valid CDL-A endorsement

No Convictions of any six-point violation in the 24 months or operating while impaired in the preceding 24 months.

Pass DOT physical

Provide current Driving record from SOS and each successive year as a GM OTR driver.

Register for FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearing House.

Must comply with random drug and alcohol testing.

Attend and pass Dangerous Goods Awareness training.

Review and sign Company Vehicle Operation Policies.

Attend Milford Proving Grounds driver orientation.

Driver Responsibilities

Pre-Drive safety inspection of equipment – escalate any issue found.

Comply with all MI driving laws (seat belts, cell phone usage, etc.)

Secure trailer loads.

Accurate completion of all paperwork assigned daily, including ticket generation, logbooks, pre & post trip forms.

Must comply with all GM safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.

Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.

Consistently on time to work and reliable on your scheduled days to work.

Wear all required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment

Keep truck clean inside and out, as if was your own.
