STARTING WAGE: $14.50
JOB GOAL: The goal of the Food Program Coordinator is to provide a quality service to Monroe County residents, as well as partner agencies and volunteers serving Monroe County residents, who need food assistance in order to meet nutritional needs and maintain independence.
DUTIES:
– Oversee and facilitate distribution in The Lords Harvest Pantry and at Mobile Food Pantries throughout Monroe County, including those that occur during the evening and weekends.
– Assist Specialist and Director with all Monroe County Food Bank related responsibilities including, but not limited to, inventory management, processing partner agency transactions, performing partner agency site visits, and providing civil rights training.
– Assist Specialist and Director with all CSFP & TEFAP related responsibilities including, but not limited to, certifying participating clients, distribution in The Lords Harvest Pantry, scheduling routine distributions with partner agencies, assembling pre- and post-distribution documentation, performing partner agency site visits, and providing civil rights training.
– Enter data into FACSPro, EmpowOR, or other approved agency-wide database
– Recruit, train, and assist volunteer staff.
– Coordinate Satellite Food Pantry one day a week at off-site location.
– Help facility outreach projects including packing, unloading and distributing at various sites.
– On site Staff for Saturday pantry and Thursday evening pantry hours.
– Ensure the safety of food, clients, and volunteers by maintaining a clean facility.
– Assist Specialist and Director with all donation, food drive, and fundraising activities.
– Comply with Federal Privacy Act Regulation.
– Other duties as requested by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred degree in social work or equivalent experience. Must have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office, FACSPro, EmpowOR, Peer Place, as well as other necessary computer programs. Must be able to work outside in all environmental conditions. Must have the ability to lift 30 pounds routinely and up to 60 pounds occasionally. Must have access to vehicle during work hours and a good driving record.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Regular full-time (40 hours per week) or Regular part-time (up to 29 hours per week) at MCOP Central Office, 1140 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161.
