### Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Construction team to improve infrastructure in our Taylor office. Candidates must have bachelors degree in civil and/or construction engineering and a valid drivers license. MDOT experience is highly preferred. Individuals must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.

### Typical responsibilities include:

– – Interpret project plans and specifications
– Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities
– Conduct field or laboratory material test
– Maintain project files and record drawings
– Prepare construction reports
– Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections
– Review technical data for adherence with project requirements
– Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
– Assist with/review scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks
– Monitor task budget and progress
– Prepare project status and other reports
– Assist in the preparation of proposals
– Assist Project Managers
– Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
– Attend seminars and/or training classes
– Maintain excellent client relations
– Maintain a safe working environment

### Education:

– – Bachelors Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering

### Skills/Experience:

– – 0 to 4 years of related experience
– A valid drivers license required
– MDOT experience is highly preferred
