Job Title: 1st Shift CNC Machinist – Lathe

Job Description

Cadrex is searching for CNC Machinists to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to ready machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. This position is for 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, with current Saturday hours from 7am – 3:00pm. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with pay ranging from $21-$26/hr. The role requires setting up machines from scratch, performing fixture changes, and basic preventative maintenance. This position does not involve programming. Cadrex pays bi-weekly.

Hard Skills

Set up and operate CNC machines

Operate manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes

Use precision measuring tools

Perform fixture changes and basic preventative maintenance

Recognize various material types and adjust equipment

Change worn tooling in machines

Verify accuracy of completed products

Soft Skills

Attention to detail

Ability to follow safety regulations

Proficiency in completing necessary paperwork

Effective communication with Department Lead

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Work Environment

Clean medium size CNC shop with 80 employees across three shifts. Two buildings house operations, with one building for Mills and the other for Lathe.
