QC Sample Management – Supervisor

Position Responsibilities:

Verification of sample submissions to Quality Control

Documentation of sample transactions in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

Handling, storage, and organization of samples

Delivering samples to QC laboratories for testing as required

Interacting with outside customers and functional peer groups

Fulfilling sample pull requests

Compliance with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements

Conducting temperature, environmental, and/or CO2 monitoring.

Preparation of samples for shipment

Performing sample inventory and disposal

Ensuring compliance with SOPs; reports any quality or other anomalies through the Deviation Notification and Resolution system

Leadership Responsibilities

Leading direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilities

Disseminate administrative communications

Demonstrate and promote the company vision

Proactively plan and multitask to maximize productivity

Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration

Coordinate scheduling and allocation of responsibilities, and new hire on-boarding process

Coordinates training program

Development of teambuilding strategies and initiatives

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience

3-5 year previous leadership experience

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, schedule is available on 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply. 

Base compensation is $35-$41 per hour based on experience.

2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay
