Description
Job Summary:
The Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Technicians are responsible for making repairs and alterations to the building interior and exterior. They will perform general day to day maintenance tasks with a minimal level of supervision.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various sites including minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, automobile maintenance
Maintains clean, and safe work sites per OSHA regulations.
Clean, detail, prepare for delivery or make minor repairs to repair all parts of automotive equipment
Maintains grounds in a clean and orderly manner including mowing, and trimming
Operates and maintains equipment
Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment as needed
This position will be considered “essential personnel” and will be responsible for responding in inclement weather and coordinating all aspects of snow removal
Identify projects that need to be serviced by outside vendors, providing quotes for purchases
Maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with personnel
May be exposed to dangerous and corrosive chemicals
Can travel between three work site bases: Canandaigua, Rome, Marcellus. Company Vehicle will be used during business hours.
Coordinate with outside vendors for projects and estimates.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
NYS Drivers License (clean).
Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Previous experience within general maintenance and property upkeep.
Experience with tools and equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
Physical Requirements:

Expected to work outside in inclement weather
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided
