General Description

Under general direction from Assistant Residence Manager, the Residence Coordinator will coordinate and oversee the operation of the residence. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff, adhering to established agency communication protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and follows protocols that will result in a safe, hygienic and well-maintained environment.

Monitors daily operation of the residence and Residential Associates, ensuring measures are taken to assure a safe therapeutic environment.

Schedules fire drills.

Responds to general house maintenance needs.

Reports problems and/or concerns to Residence Manager in a timely manner.

Supports therapeutic environment within the residence, in collaboration with the clinical team

Assist in supervision of client in house activities and education groups.

Conducts the Weekly House Meeting with all residents to discuss facility issues or concerns; following format escalates necessary issues to Residence Manager

Available for on-call and coverage issues as needed.

Assists in coordination recreation and provide transportation services as needed.

Coordinates the preparation of food and plans menus

Plans and submits menus and for three meals and snacks daily, 7 days per week (including cultural preferences, medical, etc.) to submit to Residence Manager for review

Inventories and stocks food supplies with support of the Residence Manager

Manages and collaborates the purchasing of food orders.

Follows Department of Health regulations for food preparation and storage.

Conducts quality inspection prior to each meal service to ensure safety and adequate amount of savory food

Maintains required documentation for the residence

Submits all bills, invoices, receipts generated for the residence to the Director of Restart Residential for signature.

Manage the collection and balance of food stamps.

Executing maintenance needed for vans, and updates van log as required, reports damage or issues to the Residence Manger

Ensures cleanliness of vans, maintaining full stock of supplies

Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings

Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.

Qualifications

Education: Associates degree in Human Services related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.

Credentials: Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License.

Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a residential setting required, experience in substance use disorder clients/treatment preferred.
