Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work primarily on CAD-based design projects within the fire sprinkler industry. Responsibilities include designing fire sprinkler systems, preparing submittal drawings and calculations for tenant improvement projects, surveying existing fire sprinkler systems at jobsites, obtaining approved plans and permits, and preparing closeout documents. This role offers significant growth opportunities and additional responsibilities over time.
Hard Skills
Basic understanding of AutoCAD within mechanical engineering
Experience with CAD-based design, specifically in fire protection
Ability to prepare submittal drawings and calculations
Proficiency in surveying existing fire sprinkler systems
Capability to obtain approved plans and permits
Soft Skills
Strong collaboration skills
Willingness to learn and develop within the role
Good communication skills for team updates and project deadlines
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in South San Francisco, California.
Work Environment
You will be required to work in the office 5 days per week. Our department is growing under the leadership of the head of the fire protection department. The team is highly collaborative and fosters a learning environment, with plenty of room for growth and development.
