Position Summary:
The Point-of-Sale (POS) Clerk is responsible for the coordinating, ordering, tracking, and assuring delivery of POS, Racks, Merchandisers to sales centers within the market unit. Assuring accuracy and on-time payments of invoices. Maintain on-hand inventory levels of standard graphic POS and coordinate transfer (physical and financial) to sales centers as needed. Assist the Market Unit Sales & Merchandising teams as required.
People or Process Management Responsibility: No
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Receive requests for generic and local POS and rack orders. Receive POS, racks and coupons in facility and secure appropriately and according to internal audit standards. Alert requestors of receipt of their order
Coordinate area-wide POS, rack, merchandiser, etc. orders to minimize freight costs
For centrally received orders, coordinate placement of POS or racks on outgoing trucks and enclose packing slip of what is sent. Forward email to recipients alerting them to impending delivery. For centrally received orders, ensure items are shipped inter-division POS orders (coordinate with shipping) and follow up with locations accordingly
Receive and process manual invoices
Follow up with vendors on invoice discrepancies and outstanding invoices
Track distribution of POS by Sales Route (where applicable)
Produce weekly inventory report
Monitor on-hand inventory levels and ensure minimum levels of generic POS is maintained
Maintain POS Workstation
Performs other projects and duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Must be at least 18 years of age or meet the minimum state legal age requirements
Must be able to work any day or shift
Must have six (6) months of work experience (for example working in a distribution warehouse environment, roofer, farmhand, grocery dock, construction, manipulating patients in a hospital/nursing home or physical therapy environment, or other positions which require continuous heavy lifting which deals with multi-temperature.)
Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law
The employee must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach with hands and arms
Multi-temperature environments
Position must pass a post offer drug test, and background check
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts
