Utility – Dishroom

The Utility — Dishroom employee is responsible for the operation of the dishroom during their shift. The Utility — Dishroom employee reports to the Dining Hall Manager. In the absence of the Dining Hall Manager they report to the supervisor on duty for all assignments.
Essential Duties:

– Operates the dish machine and all related equipment according to the guidelines established by the department.
– Maintains the dish machine, all related equipment and all work areas in a clean sanitary manner.
– Observes all safety and sanitation policies established by the department.
– Works with and trains all college and high school student employees in the correct operation of the dish machine and related areas and equipment.
– This position is designated as “emergency response personnel”. “Emergency response personnel” are required to report to work when the college is delayed or closed. They may also be called in at any time of the day to respond to weather and/or other types of emergencies as needed.
– Scheduled scrubbing of equipment and floors.
– Scheduled cleaning of dish carts.
– Monthly cleaning duties
– Other duties as assigned
