[The Position:[We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of an Avionics Engineer – Journeyman supporting PMA-299, NAVAIRs H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopter Program Office.
[Salary:[ The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 – $115,000 annually, based upon an individuals level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce and Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

[The Description:
[In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the designs, implementations, and integrations of radar systems within avionics suites. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of radar technology and avionics integration, combined with experience in reviewing and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Your role will support the government in overseeing and ensuring the integrity, performance, and compliance of radar systems developed by contractors for military or defense applications.

– Conduct in-depth technical reviews of radar system designs, documentation, and test results submitted by contractors or third-party developers.
– Evaluate radar system implementations for performance, reliability, and compliance with government and military specifications.
– Ensure that radar systems are appropriately integrated with avionics platforms, including verifying interface compatibility with other subsystems (communications, navigation, electronic warfare).

– Ensure radar systems meet regulatory requirements and adhere to relevant standards (FAA, MIL-STD, DO-178, DO-254, etc.)
– Provide feedback to contractors on potential issues or areas for improvement in design and implementation, ensuring that systems meet project objectives and safety requirements.
– Oversee testing procedures to validate system performance in both simulated and real-world environments, ensuring that radar systems function as intended within the broader avionics architecture.
