Job Summary:

R3 seeks three (3) Diving Maintenance Technicians / 3M Maintenance personnel to support EODGRU TWO in the direct support of corrective maintenance and inventory management of diving material and hyperbaric chamber systems at EODGRU TWO and its’ subordinate commands.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 and as scheduled in 3M for all open circuit and closed circuit (MK 16 and VIPER) items including bottles, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps and kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, full face diving masks, Diving Life Support System (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Support Systems and any future DLSS added to inventory.

Assist with scheduling situational maintenance within the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) computer program and document maintenance as it is completed.

Conduct Low-Mu testing of materiel in-use by EODGRU TWO and its subordinate commands.

Inventory repair and maintenance supplies and parts. Identify requirements for recommended procurement.

Qualify in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series). 4.2.3.4.6.5 Possess factory-trained certification for diving equipment within inventory, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK 16 and VIPER UBA maintenance technician. Maintain system certifications for NAVSEA certified systems.

Maintain qualification as a Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man.

Assists with customer service, issue, and receipt of diving equipment.

Conducts monthly inventories, bi-annual inventories, and annual inventories of gear managed in DPAS by EODGRU TWO.

Perform duties and responsibilities of a Warehouseman in DPAS.

Provide data entry recording configuration data and deferred maintenance into Organizational Maintenance Management System Next Generation (OMMSNG), maintaining at least 98% data accuracy.

Maintain the Command’s DLSS, SCUBA, MK 16, and VIPER parts, supplies, and tools; conduct periodic inventories; and using standard Naval Supply System, Federal, and commercial supply chain processes prepare and submit requisition orders for replenishment and replacement. Support includes storing, breaking out, and disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA and Navy instructions.

Qualifications:

At least six (6) years’ experience as a U.S. Navy First Class Diver. Must also have prior qualification as MK16 underwater breathing apparatus diver and hyperbaric chamber operator.

No less than three (3) years of experience with the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command with at least one (1) year experience using OMMS-NG software.

Proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Teams software.
