Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Quality Specialist/Recieving Inspector. At our Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacturer, and ship prodcuts related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments. Some of those include Utilties, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Quality Specialist/Recieving Inspector role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 2:30apm-11:00pm Monday-Friday. WIth full time employment you are offered Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), 401K percent match plan, and vacation.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. With a 2nd shift has a 10% premium increase in hourly range

What you’ll do:
The quality specialist will perform a variety of duties to ensure the production quality of all products in accordance with establish Lean Manufacturing workmanship standards, assembly procedures, ISO 9001:2015 Quality system requirements and the Eaton Quality System.
In this function you will:
• Assist in quality audits, workmanship defect reduction efforts, corrective and preventive action identification, analysis and reporting, special inspections
• Assist departments in meeting product quality targets by working closely with Engineering, Materials Management and Operational Excellence
• Perform inspection activities and videos/photos on in-process and completed assemblies as required.
• Analyzes and reports production non-conformances. Coordinates feedback on problems affecting quality, BOM, tooling issues, raw materials, training and prints) to Supervisors and Quality Engineers., Mfg. Engineers, or product Engineers as needed.
• Train and educate associates in product inspection to drive performance improvements and communicate quality standards on an ongoing basis to Production Supervisor and teams as needed.
• Inspect incoming parts as requested in SAP
• Transfer nonconforming material to NCM cage as needed (SAP transaction)
• Troubleshoot part issues in receiving inspection
• Follow commitment to Eaton Health and Safety (EHS) by following safety policies and procedures, setting safety objectives and following JSA procedures.
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic):
• Minimum 1 year of experience at manufacturing site
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, North Carolina will be considered.
Preferred:
• Basic understanding of the principles and methodology of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
• PowerBi user
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality, manufacturing, and/or engineering of electro- mechanical devices
• Two years post-secondary education with an associate degree in electronics or equivalent related education such as Vocational Technical School required.
• Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred
• Lock-out/ Tag-out Knowledge
• Eaton 3 phase UPS knowledge
Skills:
• Ability to frequently stand, bend, and walk
• Ability to distinguish colored wired
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to use forklifts and power industrial equipment
• Must have basic computer skills
• Ability to use standard computer applications: Excel, Word, SAP, PowerPoint required
• Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
• Demonstrates a strong customer service attitude
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prepare, read, analyze, and interpret product drawings, manufacturing documents, quality specs, and industry/trade magazines.
• Working knowledge of ASQ and ISO auditing standards
