As the EHS Technician, you will be responsible for helping to manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety and Training program for ICL at the Charleston location. Existing programs and responsibilities as well as new initiatives will be items that you will be asked to support. Engagement in a safety program is a cornerstone, this position will require interfacing and engagement with all employees to work towards a wholistic and involved safety culture at the sites.

Assist the EHS department with local, state, and federal compliance requirements

Support safety and environmental capital goals

Proactively work towards hazard elimination

Manage employee exposure monitoring

Pursue waste and energy reduction opportunities

Lead discussions, JHAs, learning groups, and HOP related activities with the sites

Overall management of On-the-Job Training for operations

Complete action items associated with recognized hazards in the plant

Support EHS management systems, including programs and electronic event management systems

Participate in safety discussions of engineering projects to include management of Change, Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews, and other items

Lead internal and external audits

Oversee contractor safety

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

High School Diploma or GED

General knowledge of regulatory deviations within hazardous waste, stormwater permits, air permits, and any other relevant areas

Experience in with Microsoft Suite including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Ability to identify plant hazards pertaining to OSHA General Industry Standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work cross-functionally across the business

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Prior experience operating coating and packaging equipment

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).

Salary Range: $56,000 to $77,000

Annual Bonus Target: 5%, subject to plan provisions.
