Facility Technician Assistant (Maintenance)

Join the SIMOS team as our new Facility Technician assistant. In this role, you will perform a variety of general manual labor tasks, including but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, keeping the facility clean, organizing inventory supplies, and other activities in a helping or assisting manner. If you are eager to learn, we will send associates to training and will be paid by the organization to get certifications.

Training for several weeks will be on 1st shift, Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:00pm but will then transition to the new weekend shift schedule, Friday-Tuesday (8 hours per day) from 7:00am-3:00pm. This is a temp-to-hire position after 580 hours.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour

Duties:

Follow all safety rules and practices

Empty trash receptacles in Production departments and disposes of trash in compactor

Empty corrugated cardboard bins in Production departments and can operate the cardboard baler

Empty all recycling bins in all areas

Distribution of new rags and pick up of used rags

Chemical barrel exchange using barrel dolly

Ink barrel and ink cup removal from production areas

Provides cleaning services throughout each facility

Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computer

Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards

Assists in setting up of meeting areas, and special events

Pallet removal from plant floor

Ready misprints, bad material products, and seconds for transport

Sweeping of floors

Undertake occasional janitorial tasks – Wash and sanitize toilets and sinks and restock disposables

Rinsing chemical cans and barrels for disposal

Perform maintenance work with direction from a Maintenance Specialists, Senior Maintenance Specialists or Maintenance Team Lead

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

All Facility Tech 1.2 qualifications

Trained and licensed on Reach and Order Picker Forklift.

Qualified and experienced completing facility and listed production equipment PMs

Qualified and experienced completing facility work order repairs.

Experienced at completing Facility Projects independently.

Trained and experienced completing at least 2 rotations of mobile equipment battery watering.

Trained, certified and experienced completing Haz-Mat

1 year maintenance department experience

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $15.00 – $15.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
