Job Description:
The Role – 1st Shift Janitor
BlueSky Innovations is seeking a Janitor forday shift (6:00a.m. – 2:30p.m.)with a minimum of 2 years of light industrial or manufacturing plant janitorial experience. The ideal team member is self-motivated, knowledgeable, driven to do their best work and brings a positive attitude and energy.
BlueSky Innovations is located in Largo, FL and is headquartered on a 7-acre campus, 75,000-square-foot engineering, manufacturing, fulfillment, and administrative facility.
Responsibilities:
Conduct all janitorial cleaning in a multi-building site and conduct light maintenance for items such as changing light bulbs, air filters, batteries, small fixture repairs, etc.
Complete all maintenance projects assigned with a sense of urgency.
Complete all janitorial work tasks with a sense of urgency.
Prioritize all work tasks to complete assignments efficiently.
Performing general cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, deodorizing, washing, scrubbing, window cleaning, trash removing, restroom cleaning, kitchen and breakroom cleaning, small appliance, and refrigerator cleaning, etc. during an assigned work shift.
Ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies and janitorial equipment are ordered, maintained, and comply with all industry chemical usage and storage safety standards.
Requirements
Proven janitorial experience (minimum 2 years) in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Excellent attendance record required.
Positive energy and attitude.
Ability to complete routine work tasks with or without supervision.
Meticulous attention to cleaning detail.
Satisfactory English written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent people skills yet comfortable working independently.
Ability to learn cleaning routine quickly and self-motivated to complete all assigned tasks.
Reports or escalates issues or failures to immediate Supervisor.
Legally Authorized to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of janitorial experience and light industrial maintenance.
Ability to read, understand and communicate in English.
Dependable, reliable and adheres to an assigned work schedule.
This position is subject to a clean background check and satisfactory results from drug screening for illegal drugs.
Skills:
Experience in industrial floor care and maintenance.
Knowledge of industry cleaning practices and techniques.
Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed.
Working Conditions:
Air-conditioned work environment in most areas.
Loud machinery noises are present in machine shop as well as forklifts, tumblers, and general office machine equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, crawl, climb for long periods of time, and able to lift to 50 pounds as needed.

Pay and Benefits
Competitive hourly rate of pay.
Eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in a week.
