Summary This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland. Responsibilities Serve as the principal assistant and senior administrator to the Associate Director, Personnel Services within the J1-MP1. Reviews and analyzes both new and existing policies and procedures, identifies potential problem areas, develops plausible solutions, and initiates recommendations for new, revised, or modified administrative policies and procedures. Determines new methods, procedures, equipment and/or technology to enhance the administrative efficiency and effective operation of the Division. Advises the Branch Chiefs on manning and resource strategic planning, corporate governance, metrics development and production, business process improvement, and resource management. Directs, coordinates, and monitors administrative and managerial functions for day-to-day and long-range planning necessary to provide responsive mission support to the entire Division. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as Experience at the GS12 level is defined as managing executive calendars, executing travel plans, preparing and arranging for briefing materials, and organizing meetings and conferences; Developing portions of papers, charts, briefings, etc. for specific projects; Preparing papers/staff reports and providing advice to managers on administrative matters. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicants background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
