The Lockheed Martin Organizational Surveys & Employee Engagement team is seeking a highly motivated and organized intern to support our employee survey and engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency working with data, and a solid understanding of HR processes and survey principles. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
This role will also offer opportunities to support multiple centers of excellence (Culture, Performance Management, and Change Management). This is a great virtual opportunity to gain meaningful experience in high-visibility HR Projects at Lockheed Martin.
• Assist in the administration and coordination of an enterprise-wide engagement survey.
• Collaborate in the analysis of employee surveys to gauge engagement, culture, and overall organizational health.
• Assist in creating resources for leaders and Human Resources professionals, such as guides for interpreting survey results and turning insights into action.
• Support the communication of survey activities, ensuring maximum participation and action planning at all levels of the organization.
• Conduct research on industry best practices in organizational surveys and employee engagement.
• Support the implementation and communication of change management initiatives.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions, taking notes and contributing to discussions as appropriate.
• Provide general HR administrative support as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
– Pursuing graduate-level (Master’s or PhD) degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or similar discipline
– Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
– Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint
– Strong attention to detail
– Strong writing and communication skills
Desired Skills:
– Completed coursework in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Survey and Research Methodology, and Psychology of Training and Evaluation or similar courses
– Effective communication of complex ideas to a variety of audiences
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced, virtual environment
– Must be at ease multi-tasking and being asked to frequently change directions on a day-to-day basis as needs arise.
– Experience using R or SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $35,173 – $67,392. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
