Direct Support Professional
THRIVE AS A Direct Support Professional. EACH DAY, YOU’LL
Provide training, assistance, and/or supervision to individual(s) in the area of daily living, personal care, financial management, community and social integration, medication administration, and/or job skills development.
Establish a therapeutic relationship with the individual(s) receiving services to ensure effective guidance, support and service delivery. Ensure objectives are met in accordance with the Service Plan
Provides transportation for individual(s)receiving services to planned and/or necessary activities and appointments including operating vans and/or mini vans as required.
Maintain current progress and service notes.
Provide direct supervisor with verbal feedback and data relevant to the individuals services, Service Plan or administrative policy.
Attend training and other meetings as required.
Provide emergency coverage and/or care for individuals receiving services. Report incidents in accordance with Maryland Mentor policies.
Maintain confidentiality, respects human rights, and practices universal precautions.
Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
Vehicle: Valid Drivers license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
