Data Assistant

We are seeking a Data Assistant who will provide research support in the Chen Lab in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences. The position will be a hybrid position, with an end date and work schedule to be negotiated.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Under close supervision of the faculty PI and researchers in the lab, this position will work closely with researchers to perform technical research and research-related tasks.
Curation, transcription, and labeling of audiovisual movies.
Video editing.
Online and in-person behavioral data collection.
This position is a casual/on-call position subject to the availability of funds.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Basic knowledge of lab protocols.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a research team.
Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to interact with members of the lab. Ability to keep detailed and organized records required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a research lab environment preferred but not required.
Experience in neuroscience, psychology, or cognitive science.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 – $20.25 HRLY ($18.00 HRLY targeted; Commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Casual / On Call
Schedule: Monday – Friday / 12 Hours per week
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
