This position is responsible for teaching Group Fitness classes in any and/or all fitness levels. This includes organizing choreography, attending scheduled Group Fitness meetings and teaching classes as scheduled.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Obtain Group Fitness certification within six (6) months of hire.
3. Certification in AED/CPR within thirty (30) days of hire.

1. Provides a safe and fun environment for participates.
2. Promotes knowledge of proper group fitness components, i.e. warm up, aerobic exercise, flexibility, cool down, etc.
3. Knowledgeable in the techniques and dynamics of group fitness. Knowledge in a variety of group fitness classes.
4. Provides customer service to patrons.
5. Knowledge of the Health and Wellness Center policies.
6. Works closely and communicates class changes and/or cancellations to the Group Fitness Coordinator.
7. Strive to meet class attendance quotas.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to organize and prioritize time and tasks to achieve a well coordinated work effort and to effectively meet work schedules including an ability to integrate multiple factors which may have an impact on patient care.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to follow / attendance /punctuality / time card system / scheduling policies.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of parking / hospital department locations.
4. Demonstrate knowledge and adheres to dress code.
5. Demonstrates knowledge of Compliance Program / Code of Conduct / Confidentiality.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of Emergency Management Plan including the following codes:
a. Code Blue (Cardiac Arrest)
b. Code 1 (Assault)
c. Code Utility (Utility Failure)
d. Code Red (Fire)
e. Code Weather (Inclement Weather)
f. Code Gray ( Hostage Situation)
g. Code Amber & Code Walker
h. Code Orange (Hazmat)
i. Code Black (Bomb Threat)
7. Demonstrates knowledge of physical health / wellness information and Exposure Control Plan
