The Role Overview:
Community Bank and Trust is looking for a talented and dedicated individual for the position of Accounts Payable and Finance Assistant. You will be responsible for processing and distributing account payables, as well as providing accounting, clerical, and operational assistance. This postion will be a Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm .
Job Responsibilities as a Accounts Payable and Finance Assistant Include:
– Perform daily transactions including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data. Reconcile ledgers, prepare reports, and investigate discrepancies.
– Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors and payees.
– Assist in creating efficiencies and promoting operational support which is integral in delivering exceptional customer service.
– Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciliation activities.
– Provide cross-functional department support in an accurate and timely manner.
– Ability to confidently embody Community Bank and Trust – West Georgias Mission, Vision, and Values.
– Represent Community Bank and Trust – West Georgia in the community and at community events.
– Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
– 2-3 years of experience with accounts payable or general bookkeeping.
– Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
– Comfortable with math and performing calculations.
– Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.
– High degree of attention to detail.
– Ability to learn and operate banks systems, typewriter, calculator/adding machine, check encoder, and other standard equipment
– Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs and platforms.
