Summary/Objective
The Process Engineer is responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes in a textile production environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring systems that ensure the highest levels of product quality, efficiency, and safety. The Process Engineer will collaborate with cross functional teams, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and RandD, to drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance.
Essential Functions

Analyze and improve current manufacturing processes to maximize productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency while maintaining product quality.
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) aimed at reducing downtime, improving product quality, and minimizing costs.
Lead and support process engineering projects, including equipment upgrades, new product introductions, and process validation.
Work with Maintenance team to ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and provide technical support for troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Quality team to monitor and ensure that production processes meet regulatory and quality standards, including conducting process capability studies and statistical analysis.
Research and recommend new technologies or processes that can enhance productivity, safety, or quality.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment where the worker may be exposed to noise, dust and some chemicals, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, sit, reach with hands and arms. This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, kneel and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Extended hours and weekends may be required.
Travel
This position requires local travel among facilities or further distances for training purposes.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
3 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Prior Project Management experience.
Proficient in Excel
Preferred Education and Experience
A Masters degree in Textile Engineering Discipline.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Economic Principles.
