SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for: Performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems then documenting, and calculating results accurately Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management. Any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Experience with QA preferred. Commercial food production experience preferred Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Savvy computer skills or working with our inventory system using a computer. Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more). No sponsorship offered WORKING HOURS: Monday through Friday 12pm to 8pm.
