Inside Technical Sales Representative

Responsibilities
– Direct communication and interaction with domestic and international customers
– Gather information from customers and other resources to process customer quotes orders, change orders, returns, and cancellations timely and accurately
– Respond to customer post sale concerns regarding delivery, invoicing, etc.
– Manage workflow of all sales documents with a high degree of quality and accuracy
– Interpret technical drawings, specifications, bills of material, and other technical information
– Learn technical nature of DSC parts, equipment, services, and capabilities
– Demonstrate assertive and friendly follow up with customers using sound judgment and good negotiating skills as necessary to obtain parts orders
– Analyze costs, margins, and sale prices
– Determine lead times and availability using DSCs ERP system
– Collaborate and coordinate with other departments (Engineering, and Manufacturing groups) to ensure appropriate product selection and on time delivery
– Update customer records in the department files
– Provide after-hours support for customer emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule
– Minimal travel as needed; less than 5% annually
– Other duties as assigned
Requirements
– Associates Degree and 4 years related experience OR Bachelor Degree and 2 years related experience
– Additional consideration given for 5 years of experience in technical/industrial sales
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
– Must maintain valid driver license

– Strong written and oral communication
– ERP experience
– Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
– Ability to multi-task, maintain professionalism , and remain highly organized in a fast-paced environment
