Position Overview:
The Associate Director of Independent Living Plus within the Family-Based Care Division is an executive leadership position. This position is responsible for the oversight of foster care operations. The Associate Director ensures their assigned programs uphold HCS values, children and families progress therapeutically while maintaining safety of children, families, and staff at all times. This position will oversee staffing and program operations to assure compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. This position facilitates the growth of the respective programs assigned. The Associate Director is trained and able to perform the duties of the Director when needed. This position will oversee the services provided by Program Managers in the ILP Program.
Responsibilities:
Develops and continuously enhances program procedures, interventions, goals, and measurements to pursue the best possible participant, staff, and program outcomes
Appropriately engages internal and external stakeholders to inform continuous quality improvement and maintain the safety and well-being of children and families served
Expected to maintain awareness and knowledge of industry trends related to Foster Care within the community and statewide.
Responsible for the training and ongoing development of team members
Responsible for upholding and maintaining and environment consistent with Positive Youth Development theory.
Prioritizes the engagement of family in supporting childrens recovery
Incorporates and models Mi-Team Principals into daily practices
Ensures that participants receive the highest quality direct care, including:
Individual Treatment
TBRI
Comprehensive care and treatment planning
Complete, accurate, and timely reporting
Connects directly with participants and maintains accessibility for children, families, and personnel
Monitors team performance and provides corrective training, systems development, and personnel development to ensure programmatic excellence
Upholds an unwavering trauma-informed approach to service delivery and design
Responsible for scheduling and monitoring of payroll activities and performance reviews for all direct reports and ensuring the completion of reviews for all indirect reports
In conjunction with Director of Family Based Care, will develop and execute agency policies, site procedures, handbooks and program manuals
Ensures a comprehensive training plan for staff is created, executed, monitored for fidelity and modified as deemed necessary.
Prioritizes census benchmarks and staffing ratios per site.
Facilitates partnerships and relationships with community members, organizations, and funders
Ensures all staff are following agency policies, licensing rules, site procedures, and treatment plans of participants
Provides weekly supervision for all direct reports
Will participate in agency committees as deemed necessary.
