Pay Rate:$18.00hr to $20.00hr depending on experience

Job Summary:

Mon-Fri, 7:15 AM- 4:00 PM

Description:

As a Grain Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of grain products at our facility. You will perform inspections, measurements, and tests to maintain high standards for wheat and other grains. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and grading incoming and outgoing grains shipped via railcar and truck, as well as handling submitted grain samples from clients. You will work closely with the plant superintendent and other team members to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

– Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests on grains, focusing on wheat sub-classes.

– Record and document inspection results; report non-conforming products.

– Manage data entry, scanning, and email communications.

– Maintain a clean work area and follow SOPs.

Requirements:

– Experience in grading wheat and other grains.

– Knowledge of USDA handbooks and grain quality standards.

– Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.

– Proficiency in data entry and communication.

– Ability to work independently and in a team, with flexibility for changing priorities
