Maintenance Technician

Job Position: Maintenance

Location: LeMars, IA 51031

Pay Rate: $26.00/hr

Shift: 7am-330pm or finish Mon-F

Description:

Responsibilities:
– Perform scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition
-Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
-Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions
-Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
-Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
-Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
-Communicate effectively with supervisors and other technicians regarding maintenance needs and schedules.
-Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
-Complete maintenance logs and reports detailing work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions.

Requirements:
-Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or production environment.
-Familiarity with various types of machinery and equipment.
-Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
-Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and reliability.
-Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
