Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Laborer to join our team as a Material Handler. This role involves the efficient, safe, and effective loading and unloading of products, adhering to Feed Safety/Food Safety standards, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the plant environment.

Responsibilities:

– Efficiently load and unload products from trailers and rail cars, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.

– Prepare and operate machinery, valves, and pumps related to loading and unloading systems.

– Monitor product quality, take and maintain product samples as required.

– Maintain accurate records and logs associated with plant operations.

– Perform regular housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

– Follow all standard operating procedures and safety rules, inspect safety equipment, and maintain safety standards.

– Operate shag tractor for trailer spotting and other necessary equipment.

– Perform physical activities such as ascending/descending ladders and stairs, operating machinery, and moving about to accomplish tasks.

Requirements:

– Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, PIMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

– Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations in English.

– Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., works in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, and performs tasks in noisy and hazardous environments.

– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
