Records Coordinator is responsible for advising undergraduate Marquette
University College of Nursing (MUCN), Nursing students, and managing
student records. Responsibilities include academic advising (academic
coaching, goal setting, identification of barriers and connection to
resources), maintaining undergraduate student records, and verification
of student requirements for clinical and graduation. The advisor and
records coordinator aligns with MUCN strategic plan to promote
excellence in learning and to increase diversity, equity and inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Serve as student success advisor for a
caseload of students through traditional academic advising as well as
high touch on-going wrap around student support to address students
academic, personal, mental, financial and spiritual needs. Collaborate
with faculty to provide holistic support for students and reinforce
strategies for success within each course. Monitor, track, and maintain
accurate records of all advising activities. Proactively monitor student
academic progress, appropriate course selection and college requirements
to ensure timely intervention and graduation. Interpret and advise
students on university and college policies, curriculum requirement, and
procedures. 2. Regularly update and manage a comprehensive list of all
student advisees, ensuring that advisors have accurate and current
information. 3. Maintain databases for student records pertaining to
licensure, graduation, graduation eligibility, and censure. Maintain and
update faculty assignment database. Maintain and create student records

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Bachelors degree A minimum of 3 years of related experience
in student affairs, academic advising, teaching, education, or
counseling. Computer and database management skills (MS Office, Adobe).
Experience working with students in a higher education setting and
understanding of student success strategies and registration process.
Interpersonal sensitivity and support for students in high stress
circumstances. Requires the ability to utilize tact and proper judgement
while providing academic support to students, including an understanding
of confidentiality and ability to appropriately enforce the Family
Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). Ability to organize,
coordinate, and prioritize work effectively Strong collaboration,
communication, presentation, & interpersonal skills Ability to
effectively represent the College of Nursing professionally to diverse
constituencies including but not limited to prospective applicants and
their families, alumni, and other College and University officials.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters degree
