We are looking for a INAS Specialist Engineering to join our GEC team in Geismar, LA.

We are currently seeking a highly organized and skilled Network and Systems Engineer to oversee all aspects of our Engineering Innovation Complex. Your duties will include scheduling and administration of assets, backup management, cabling, documentation, firewall and network infrastructure management, hardware installation and removal, as well as developing and improving use case-specific operational playbooks. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing configuration and completing active project work in the site manufacturing units.

As a INAS Specialist Engineering, you create chemistry by…

• Taking direct ownership of the planning and scheduling processes for the Engineering Innovation Complex, ensuring effective coordination and execution of all tasks and projects.

• Actively participating in Automation/Controls and Electrical Engineering projects within the manufacturing units on-site.

• Coordinating and managing the resources provided by both customers and vendors, ensuring that all collaborations run smoothly and efficiently.

• Implementing and managing the Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring that any necessary changes are properly documented, assessed, and implemented within the complex.

• Scheduling and administering IT/OT assets and cabling, overseeing the installation, removal, and maintenance of hardware to ensure proper setup and functionality.

• Overseeing backup management to protect critical data and maintaining accurate documentation for easy accessibility of processes and configurations.

• Managing firewall and network infrastructure, ensuring that all security measures are in place to protect the complex from potential cyber threats.

If you…

Hold a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Possess knowledge and experience in backup management and administration, including backup infrastructure, VMs, CTs, file systems, restoration, and testing.

Are proficient in creating and maintaining documentation, such as network architecture diagrams, dataflow diagrams, firewall rulesets, switch configurations, virtualization host configurations, and VM configurations.

Possess the ability to administer various firewall infrastructure components, including patching, ruleset changes, and ruleset cleanup.

Have familiarity with cabling administration and documentation.

Have knowledge of network infrastructure components, including architecture design, switch administration, configuration changes, hardware patching, routing, DHCP administration, segment documentation and registration, infrastructure documentation, and IP address management.

Demonstrate strong scheduling skills, including working with request fulfillment, resource availability, and coordinating the restoration of resources to a default state after tests.
