Position Summary:

Instructor in Elementary and/or Middle Level Education with strong
experiences in teaching methodology and supervision, responsible for
teaching undergraduate courses in elementary education and middle grades
education.

Position based at A-State-Mountain Home.

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Supervising field experiences and student teaching interns
– Teaching on-site as well as online courses through Canvas
– Providing service to the university, public schools, and community
– Working with partnership initiatives in schools
– Advising undergraduate majors
– Assisting with departmental initiatives
– Professional affiliations and involvement
– Other duties as assigned by the department chair.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required or applicable to the position
responsibilities and area of specialization including special
abilities.

General Days/Hours:

Monday – Friday
8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Some night functions maybe necessary.
Some travel to other campus sites may be required.
Position based at A-State-Mountain Home.

Works under the direction of the site and area coordinators and for the
department chair.

Requires supervision and travel from the Mountain Home Campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Masters of Education degree in Elementary Education or
Mid-Level Education, related fields may be considered.

Candidates must have three (3) years of successful public school
teaching experience as a classroom teacher in an elementary K – 6 or
Middle Level, 4 – 8, setting and documentation of successful teaching
experience.

Must be licensed teacher in K – 6 or 4 – 8.
