Polyurethanes Research Scientist

Enable new and advanced formulation product development in the specific technology area of rigid polyurethane foams. Provide expertise in polymer science, polyurethane chemistry, polyurethane rigid foam formulation, foam processing and physics, structure-property relationships, fire science, and the interaction of these fields. Plan and implement polyurethane development activities at the bench and pilot scales and conduct preliminary characterization and field trials of new products. Independently initiate projects as a result of laboratory and field trial work.Conduct a significant level of technical work as defined in the project plans and document this work through the appropriate means includinglaboratory notebooks, interim reports, visit and trial reports, project meeting minutes, and monthly summaries, as well as fully documented technical reports at critical stages in the project cycle. Keepabreast of all developments within the polyurethane industry through regular interaction with colleague sand the technical community at large. Develop working relationships with leading academic and industrial institutions worldwide working in the polyurethane field.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Masters degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science and Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, a related field, or their equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years of experience with new formulation development for rigid polyurethane foam technology
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 15% domestic travel
