CNC Multi-spindle Machinist

Hiring Travel CNC Machinists in Lafayette, IN!

Pay: $37/hour $150 per diem

Skills:

Strong Experience operating CNC Machines

Ability to perform independent setup

Ability to understand Start, Stop, and Recovering program language

Ability to independently perform tool changes

Ability to understand written standard work instructions and blueprints

Duties:

Using lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts. Will use chains and straps to move material

Cycle times vary from 6mintues to 12 hours depending on the machine they are running. Long cycle times

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments

Fabricating and modifying parts to make or repair tools or machines

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and quality tools

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines

Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications

Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
