Registered Nurse (RN), Night Shift, Trauma Surgical Department (2 Tower)
UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the trauma surgical department for the First Shift, 7a-730p at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), Urology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Burns, Surgical Overflow
This unit consists of patient populations from many specialized surgical teams. Our patient population is admitted from the ER, SICU and PACU. Nursing care for the Trauma patient is concentrated around recovering from traumatic injury with focus on mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs and pain management. Our surgical specialties include ENT and urology who are consistently nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
Trauma: UCMC is the areas only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Our patients arrive from injuries sustained by motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds and unforeseen accidents.
Ear Nose & Throat (ENT): UCMC has a large head & neck program that includes patients with head & neck cancer or other diseases. We see many different types of procedures including reconstruction of the airway, neck and face.
Urology: Surgeries and procedures related to urological cancer or other diseases, which may include treatment of prostate issues, urostomies, urinary diversions, among many other procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

– Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
– Associates Degree, minimum required
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
– Current OH RN License
