Summary Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and
detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, 3D models, or notes by
performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts,
materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of
various parts to whole structure or project.
Manages and processes drawing and document releases in PDM and MRP
system in accordance with Change Order procedures.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices,
mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete
drawings.
Makes any tolerance or design adjustments or changes necessary or
desired.
Draws charts for representation of statistical data.
Draws finished designs from sketches or 3D models.
Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
Creates and updates Item masters and BOMs in the MRP system.
Create and review engineering drawing change packages and help
distribute as necessary.

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or
technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and
trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with
problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
SolidWorks Design software; Excel and Microsoft Word software.
