Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Limited Submission and Capture Management Program 40% effort

Limited Submissions:

Assist with creating and managing the day-to-day tasks of limited submission activities in the InfoReady application management system.

Utilize various funding databases (Pivot, Federal Agency databases etc.) to identify upcoming limited funding opportunities relevant to CU Anschutz and CU Denver investigators.

Disseminate funding opportunities broadly (via newsletter, bulletin, website etc.) and target specific research investigators.

Organize the internal review and nomination processes for limited funding opportunities.

Establish metrics and track outcomes of funding opportunities to determine success rate and areas for focused improvement and support.

Coordinate processes with the Cancer Center and Denver Campus, when appropriate.

Update limited submission funding opportunities on the ORDS website.

Capture Management:

Support Program Director to identify open funding opportunities and prepare biweekly funding bulletin and update the ORD&S website.

Support Program Director with determining funding opportunities that can be targeted to investigators and develop targeted email communication.

Provide education programming to departments, labs and/or individual investigators to set up profiles for automated funding alerts via Pivot and create related guidance documents to support PIs utilization of Pivot.

Run ad hoc funding searches when requested.

Internal Funding Programs 35% effort

Assist with requests for proposals for current internal funding programs (AB Nexus) and future internal funding grant programs and manage the associated application and review processes using technology platforms as appropriate (e.g., Infoready)

Assist with creating standard practices for evaluation of team science programs, tracking both process and outcomes measures.

Help identify potential funding opportunities for internally funded teams in coordination with Cu Innovations, Advancement teams, and others as needed.

Leverages data to generate reports, provide programmatic analysis, improve programing, and demonstrate Return-on-Investment (ROI)

Builds relationship and provides guidance to internally funded researchers on teaming, strategic grant planning, visioning, management planning, and goal setting via team science roadmaps.

Special Projects/Assignments 25% effort

Assist on specific projects such as:

General website updates.

Assist with the development of a virtual grant library.

Organization and coordination of events (e.g., recognition events, team building events).

Draft templated communications for newsletters/bulletins, special funding announcements.

Develop invitations and registration for ORD&S related events.

Utilize communications and other web systems (e.g., website editing platform, university calendar system, etc.); identify new systems when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

1 year of professional level experience supporting multiple projects and/or programs.

1 year experience drafting an/or editing web-based content

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years experience working with databases and project management systems.

Experience working within an academic or hospital environment.

This position will report to the Director of Extramural Funding and will manage three core programs within the Office: (1) the universitys Limited Submission Program (includes CU Denver campus); (2) Capture Management Program (identification and dissemination of research funding opportunities through Pivot and other similar databases); (3) AB Nexus Program (internal funding program in collaboration with CU Boulder). Additionally, the program manager will assist with special projects (e.g., virtual grant library, recognition events) and assist with office communication (updating website, drafting various templated communications including biweekly newsletters and special funding announcements). The following duties and responsibilities will be under the guidance and support of the Director of Extramural Funding and include but are not limited to:

– this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1 day per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
