Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Provides assistance and support to the IT Associate Director.
Supports the EHR system, integrated software.
Monitor and work the support ticket/helpdesk inbox as it relates to clinical applications and clinical operations.
Trains students, faculty and staff in the use of clinical applications software.
Assist with creating and updating training documents and user guides for faculty, staff and students for clinical applications and clinical operations.
Assist with faculty onboarding for eRx and EPCS processes.
Develops, configures, recommends, installs, monitors, and supports the software for clinical operations.
Assists in software upgrades and testing for various clinical applications.
Supervises and trains a student worker who prioritizes support for clinical application software.
Maintains technologies, upholding strict adherence to HIPAA and FERPA regulations for data security and confidentiality.
Assists in the testing of clinical applications after the completion of patching, upgrades,migration of servers and workstations in clinical spaces performed by the IT Team.
Perform various other duties or tasks as assigned and/or needed related to day-to-day responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
A bachelors degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution : Professional experience related to the work assignment may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis, but not for the specific experience.
One year of experience with clinical operations, or large-scale application support, troubleshooting, upgrading and or training users on clinical operations software in an academic/medical/dental environment.
A bachelors degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, business administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Substitution : Recent and relevant experience (software management, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and/or SQL Server, clinical computer management or other related computing systems) on a year for year basis can be substituted for the bachelors degree.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with clinical operations, or large scale application support, troubleshooting, upgrading and or training users on clinical operations software in an academic/medical/dental environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience teaching and training others in the use of computer hardware and software.
Experience working with students, faculty, and staff within a higher education or academic healthcare environment.
Experience in developing associated reports.
Experience working with dental or medical clinical management systems (i.e. axiUm, EPIC).
Experience with Imaging and Radiology software (e.g. Dolphin Imaging, Overjet AI, MiPACS, and Invivo or other PACS, 3Shape Trios and various 3Shape dental systems).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of electronic health record systems, including axiUm or Epic or other dental office software.
Knowledge of virtual environments (e.g. VMware, Citrix and virtual storage, Equallogic, EMC, Netapp, Nimble, Tegile)
Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Mac OSX
Good working knowledge of Office 2016 or newer
Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to multitask
Outstanding planning and organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport with a wide variety of individuals, sense of urgency, patience in dealing with end users
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

The Clinical Applications Systems Administrator position will enhance clinical operations at the School of Dental Medicine by delivering comprehensive training and robust support for clinical application systems.
