The Caldwell Elm Pediatrics clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and efficient Medical Assistant!
Position Summary & Highlights :
This MA position will work as a second MA with two providers at the clinic.

From well-child visits and immunizations to diagnosing and treating chronic conditions, our goal is to help ensure your child grows up with every opportunity to be healthy and happy.
What Will You Do:
In addition to rooming and taking vitals you will perform POC testing, newborn screens, vision, hearing, and developmental screenings.
You will also administer vaccinations and work closely with the providers on some minor procedures.
Pediatrics is a unique specialty in that not only is the child the patient, but their parents are also typically present at the clinic visit.
An ideal candidate is passionate about working with kids and parents, has a sense of urgency, is team-oriented and flexible, and enjoys a fun and fast-paced work environment!
You will also have strong self-initiative and communication skills, enjoy developing efficiencies, being part of a supportive team, and willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.
Work Schedule :
40 hours per week, 4 – 10 hour shifts, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, around the hours of 7:45am – 5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externshipis required even with MA certification.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
