Juvenile Justice Shift Administrator

Description
Eliot is searching for a Shift Administrator with 2 years of experience working with youthful offenders. The ideal candidate will have an active knowledge of issues relating to the program population, this includes: Trauma, Gang Issues, Violence, Poverty and Family Dysfunction. Experience with regulations regarding clinical and behavioral treatment is a plus.
Eliot’s juvenile justice programming includes a residential network for youth ages 13 to 21 who are court involved and need placement while awaiting return to court, assessment or longer term treatment. These highly structured, self-contained programs offer a comprehensive intervention for juvenile offenders.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and facilitation of residential programming. Serve as the milieu according to the program’s contract, DYS, DEEC and Eliot’s policies and procedures.
Commit to the principles of Positive Youth Development and Trauma Informed Care.
Become trained in Positive Youth Development, Trauma Informed Care and Interventions, and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and Attachment, Self Regulation and Competency and use these models within all aspects of the work.
Responsible for adherence to all program activities.
Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and disciplining all assigned staff.
Responsible for providing in shift training, modeling, coaching and feedback.
Facilitate and attend as directed, all meetings associated with the operation of the program, including administrative, staff, shift change, and treatment team meetings.
Serve as a member of the administrative team and the on-call rotation.
Facilitate and participate in orientation, training and development opportunities for staff.
Submit timely and accurate employee supervision documentation and performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with funding and licensing sources.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 1pm-9pm OR Tuesday-Saturday 1pm-9pm
Compensation: $55,000-$60,000 annually
