Documentation Specialist
Job Summary:
Prepares loan documentation using Laser Pro for certain non-complex commercial purpose loans, to include loans made under the Small Business Association (SBA) programs.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes loan request and prepares documentation for new and renewed loans in compliance with bank policy, federal and state regulations
• Produces documentation for all types of commercial and small business loans to include, term loans and lines of credit. These loans will be secured by business assets and/or real estate
• Ensures all required documentation is prepared to properly perfect the bank’s lien and that all documentation requirements are met, to include titles, UCC’s, mortgages, deeds and title commitments
• Prepares other correspondence as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service in daily interaction with lenders and their clients
• Special projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 plus years of commercial lending experience in closing, documentation or operations preferred.
1-2 years experience with Laser Pro
Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) required along with an understanding of Microsoft Access
Knowledge of own department’s operations, policies and procedures
Knowledge of loan legal documentation including but not limited to notes, mortgages, credit agreements and formation documents.
