Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for daily operations to support the operating rooms and various other units as needed. They are responsible for ensuring surgical supplies, instruments, scopes and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a safe, quality and timely manner. This position may support hospital based practices, clinics and other locations. Able to perform all sterile processing technician standard work. May be required to perform additional, related duties as assigned. |

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: |
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of certified sterile processing technician training program. SPD EXEMPTION ndash; Requirement shall not apply to an individual working within PA facilities who has been employed as a central services technician on or before the effective date of PA Act 80 effective 12/29/2020. |

Minimum 6 months experience preferred. |
