POSITION: Customer Excellence & Facility Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Matcon Aftermarket
REPORTING TO: Senior Commercial Manager
LOCATION: Delran, New Jersey
Position Summary
This on-site role will provide coordination within the facility to ensure a consistent customer experience at every touch point. As Customer Excellence & Facility Coordinator you will take the lead on managing the facility to ensure the key functions are maintained with a health & safety and customer centric mindset. You have an in-depth knowledge of safety regulations and security procedures. The requirement is for the individual be capable of both computer focused administrative tasks and physical mechanical/electrical technical tasks. The person will be comfortable with taking the lead and acting as the go-to team member for the facility.
Essential Functions
Ensure safe and secure running of the Matcon Americas facility which includes opening and closing the building daily, fire alarm testing, coordination with outside vendors as required.
Support the inventory on-site. Liaise with various carriers for incoming goods, unpacking and placing goods in inventory, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
Manage stock holding and timely picking, packing and dispatch of spare part orders through accurate transactions within JDE and working with other team members to ensure OTD (on time delivery) is met by picking on time.
Take a hands-on approach to equipment refurbishments
Ability to operate, maintain and clean test plant equipment
Occasionally provide support to the team by supporting customers with technical troubleshooting (remotely and at client sites)
Coordinate the various suppliers, sub-contractors and team members to ensure continuity of operations at the facility and to ensure the appropriate team members are on site for customer visits
Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service to ensure we keep getting better
Identify opportunities for new processes and tools which, once implemented, will help improve productivity, reduce response time, and improve customer experience.
Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position throughout customer facing experiences as you work with the sales lead when customers are on-site as a means of learning more about our equipment, our drawings and the physicality of operating the machines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
EDUCATION
Post secondary education in Business, Engineering, or related equivalent experience.
Certified fork-lift driver or equivalent experience (and we will certify)
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of direct work experience in a customer service / technical capacity.
Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering, warehousing or Lean manufacturing environment is desired.
COMPETENCIES
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Self-starter with the willingness to take the initiative in situations
Comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented setting
Desire to work in small team environment
Content with direction coming from remote manager but not afraid to ask questions
Experience in engineering/maintenance principles and practices
A Customer Obsession and Continuous Improvement / 8020 Mindset is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Familiarity with ERP Systems is an advantage.
Physical Environment and Environmental Factors
Regularly works in an office and workshop/warehouse setting.
Frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear
Must be able to work in front of a computer for a portion of the day
Must be able to work in test plant and workshop environment
May occasionally lift up to 20lbs
Expectation is that this role will report to the facility 5 days per week
